It is the start of a new year and time to look forward to a new growing season. To start the year our January newsletter should be with you any day now and it is a bumper 44 pages this time, so plenty to read while we wait for the weather to improve.
Our first event of the year will be the annual scion exchange, or ‘twig swap’ as it is affectionately known, in February. We have pruning workshops and grafting courses planned for the first few months of the year and then the Harrogate spring show in April. Work will also resume in our 2 teaching gardens in January after a brief winter break. All activities are free for members but there is a small charge to cover rootstocks etc on the grafting courses. Full details can be found in the newsletter.
Happy gardening!
